Indian Air Force has invited application forms for the post of Agniveer Vayu or Agniveer Airforce intake 01/2024 Recruitment. What Is Agniveer Airforce or Agniveer Vayu

Education Based Eligibility

For Candidates from Science Stream

Completed the Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and Union Territories (UTs) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Completed a Three-year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a recognized Polytechnic Institute by Central, State, and UTs with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in the Diploma Course).

Completed a Two-year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects such as Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UTs with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in the Vocational Course).

Important Note:- Candidates who qualify for the science subjects examination, which includes those who have completed an intermediate/10+2/three years’ diploma course in engineering or a two years vocational course with non-vocational subjects of physics and maths, are also eligible to appear for other than science subjects. During the online registration process, they will have the option to select both science subjects and other than science subjects examinations and take them in a single sitting.

For Other Streams

Successfully cleared the intermediate/10+2/equivalent examination in any stream/subject from education boards recognized by central, state, and union territories (UTs) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Completed a two-year vocational course from education boards recognized by central, state, and UTs with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in the vocational course).

Financial & Non-Financial Benefits of Airforce Agniveer Vacancy

During the four-year engagement period, candidates will be assessed based on their performance. Up to 25% of each specific batch of Agniveervayu will have the opportunity to be enrolled in the regular cadre of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

What Will Not Be Provided at The End of Service

Pension and gratuity are not included under the Agniveer Vayu scheme.
Candidates won’t get Ex-Servicemen status after completion of the service.

Special Quota

Upon becoming Agniveer, candidates will receive a 10% reservation in recruitment within the Assam Rifles after completing a four-year period.

Additionally, states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and others will also prioritize Agniveer candidates in their police department recruitment processes.
